But it is still an amazing ride. This game relies on the principle, if your pc can handle it why not do it. unlimited amount of planets and unlimited amount of stars, traveresed by ships of unlimited size. This combined with a although clunky, adequate UI and controls. If you ever dreamed of sci-fi battles with sizes like warhammer but were always let down by other sci-fi games that have popcaps or fleets of no more than 10 ships? Than you will like this game!. One of the best RTS's you can get imo.. Can't pause, hope you're using a colostomy bag. In this game, you can build a ship the size of a planet and blow up stars with it.The game's economics are very solid, the technology system is good, the customization is immense, and the scale is unprecedented. It gets a bit repetitive but it's easily the most detailed 4x I've ever played.The reason you'd dislike this game is if you want weakbaby things like "a tutorial" and "a decent UI". But if you want to blow up stars like someone truly worthy of glory, that won't stop you.. One of the Best Indi games I've seen in the past year. Very easy to understand and very fun to play. Be warned it's not an easy game, but that's part of the fun.. IF you like RTS's and the X4 series style games, then this might not be a bad buy. I've enjoyed the game (as well as getting fustrated with it took awhile to understand a good balance for economy). The concept is simple, you start off with 1 planet and you try to build an empire from there, colonizing each planet in your system then expanding to others. You can add AI or be by youself completely (there are pirates who will raid you if you aren't well defended, but i believe you can turn that setting off too). the really intersting part of this game is the fact of how you can craft your ships. You can't design the way they look, but you can add all the sub-sector parts (like power generators, bulk heads and shields) and then you can choose a scale of the ship (as small as a fight or as big as the galaxy and im serious on that look up 10m scale ship star ruler on youtube to see) if it goes on sale i'd recommend picking it up.. Great game, from 1 planet to destroying the galaxy, every second was fun.. Ships the size of planets destroying systems.!You can destroy the center of the universe.!(Check out the Galatic Armory mod.). The learning curve is pretty steep. If you can stick with it, you will find a very enjoyable game.. One of the best strategy games ever.Supreme Commander + Sins of a Solar Empire + Sword of the Stars with unit customization.
